Richard H. Bailey

Richard H. Bailey has studied art & sculpture his whole life. His wife is an artist. His mother was an artist. His work comes from the heart and his passion is apparent in every work he has created.  He has traveled the world to study his art and is well known by other well respected artist. His work graces many museums, church's and homes. He has been an internationally listed artist since 1972 and has been featured in "Who's Who of American Art". While he does consider commissioned work, he is constantly producing new and exciting pieces and currently has an inventory that he has created from the heart.

 

Mr. Bailey received a Ford Foundation Scholarship from the Art Student’s League of New York City. An important purchase was made by St. Polycarp’s church in Smyrna, Delaware in 1967. The American Museum of Natural History in New York City has acquired his work. He has received the purchase prize from the University of Delaware in 1970. He has Won the Founders’ Award in 1971 and 1975 at the Rehoboth Art League of Rehoboth, Delaware. He Received The Silvermine Guild Award for sculpture in 1972 and 1973. His sculpture is in many private collections, galleries, and museums all over the world.

 

Bailey expresses his spirit by creating original forms designed and executed from his 20th Century environment.
