Light is the common denominator of my work. It is the stimulus for color and defines images and establishes mood. In my work I have attempted to capture moments fun the changing light of many settings- the Chesapeake Bay, Greece, Spain, Italy, other places in Europe and the Southwest.

Sometimes I paint figures contemplating and landscapes or the sea. I often paint boats, their reflections in the water and the way they move on the surface. I seek to capture the visual surprises I encounter
n nature.
