Artist Statement
I am a lifelong artist. After a career in the museum field, I returned to the studio full time in 2013. I began painting the ocean after volunteering on reconstruction projects following Hurricanes Katrina and Michael. The beauty and awesome power of nature has a profound influence on my art.

I work from memory, being in the water, and source photography. People have said they can hear and feel the movement of the ocean, and smell the salt air in my oceans and landscapes.
For me the sea and coastal lands evoke a sense of awe that I hope to convey in my paintings
